Who We Are

Modest Beginnings Grow Regional: CSO Financial traces its start to the formation of Kency Credit in Roseburg, Oregon in 1912. With the growth of services and clients, the company name changed to CSO Financial to more closely reflect its position as a full-service, innovative leader in the revenue recovery industry. In December of 2003, CSO became an Employee Owned Business, with key employees now involved in ownership as well as day-to-day operation of the firm.

Big enough to handle your business and small enough to deliver personal services: Today, CSO Financial is a regional company offering business, municipal and private clients a wide range of financial recovery services using state-of-the-art communications and technical systems. However, we’re not so big that we cannot deliver the truly personal and responsive service you deserve. Our products and services are diverse, including billing and collection services, tenant-screening reports, criminal history and background checks, and employment reports.

Commitment to Quality

CSO Financial delivers the highest quality recovery management and customer service with leading edge technical systems and trained personnel. We operate under a Compliance Management System (CMS) and utilize the latest industry tools to maintain strict security standards.

Retain Key Employees

CSO Financial enjoys lower-than-average employee turnover, and we encourage employees to donate their time to local community groups and to be active in local civic and industry organizations.

Continuous Training

With the constant change in federal and state legislation, concerns over privacy of information, and credit reporting requirements, CSO is committed to continuous training on existing FCRA, FDCPA, GLBA, HIPAA and SCRA regulations. The majority of our collections and paralegal staff hold ACA International’s Certified Professional Collections Specialist and MDHBA Certified Healthcare Collector certificates.

Giving Back

CSO Financial has a generous legacy of giving back to the communities where our employees live and work through charitable donations and volunteer hours. CSO employees have volunteered countless hours for many worthwhile causes in the six communities we serve. CSO raises money through our annual employee auction for the support of the Douglas County Battered Women’s Shelter; and we are a proud sponsor of the annual Rotary Shots for Tots Free Immunization Clinic for underserved children in Douglas County, Oregon.
